this is played on a double bass (obviously) with a slapping technique, but i found that
if when i play in on my regular bass that i can get a similar sound by playing the bass
upright and slapping the string twice with my thumb before plucking it with my index or
middle finger at certain *, my bass is broken so the E string is tuned down by
one fret. its actually easyier to play. you just take the number on the E string and add
one to them. and yes, those are 10's and 11's. james mcduff- corrections to *
